About the role: Were looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Data Products team that builds and operates systems that move, process, aggregate, store, and analyze the companys most critical shared datasets. This role reports to the Engineering Director, Data Ecosystem. Where you will work: This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We will help with relocation costs for candidates that are interested in moving to NYC. What you will do: Provide technical oversight and drive new features with a focus on Garners strategic mission Build and operate scalable, resilient data systems that contribute toward the target state data architecture Contribute to the development of world-class data products that support data science, analytics, product, and engineering needs across the company Influence relevant product and engineering roadmaps to ensure all data systems interoperate with a unified data ecosystem, and oversee seamless migrations as necessary Champion and ensure the privacy and security of our users data Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability Mentor, grow, and recruit Garners next generation of engineering leaders What you will bring to the team: 6+ years of experience working in the software engineering industry 3+ years of experience working in a Data Engineering function 1+ years of experience managing Engineering teams 2+ years of experience building big data systems handling at-scale data ingestion, processing, and/or storage Expert in storage/query optimization in cloud-based environments Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into a well executed technical roadmap Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, Spark, Dagster, DBT,Soda, etc. Experience managing regulated data is highly desirable Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g. HIPAA, EDI) is highly desirable Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system Compensation Transparency: The target salary range for this position is $225,000 - $240,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
