The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC) is the premier provider of ocean transportation to the Department of Defense (DOD). The MSC coordinates sea transportation with a globally deployed fleet to meet national defense objectives and supports troubleshooting, repair, sustainment, and maintenance. The ITESS Task Order delivers support for MSC organizations and ship classes. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Configuration Management Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Change Management, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audit. Collect, categorize and maintain all artifacts or work products created by the Contractor or sub-Contractors in a manner consistent with DoD and DISA standards for knowledge management. Utilize the MSC Approved Property System of Record (APSR) to manage the life cycle of MSC C4I assets afloat and ashore from installation to disposal. APSR includes Corrective Maintenance and Logistics System (CMLS) and Shipboard Configuration and Logistics Information Program (ShipCLIP). Process all configuration changes (adds, changes, deletes) using the feedback function in CMLS/ShipCLIP. Provide configuration management and change control; manage Technical Data, Configuration Item and baselines, and changes to new and existing baselines. Perform configuration management to control design changes associated with the MSC transport architecture. Qualifications
Required Certifications DODM 8140.03 and DODI 8140.02 certifications Education, Background, and Years of Experience Minimum 4-8 years general directly related work experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills Minimum 4-8 years general directly related work experience. Knowledge of the use of the DoD Architecture Framework. Working Conditions
Environmental Conditions Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate; no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Office environment with standard equipment. Strength Demands Sedentary 10 lbs. Maximum lifting; occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some walking or standing may be required. Physical Requirements Stand or sit; walk; repetitive motion; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; see; push or pull; climb stairs or ladders; balance when ascending/descending or working at height.
