Redmond, WA We are seeking a skilled Validation Engineer to support hardware setup, system-level validation, and data analysis for advanced processor platforms. This role is critical to enabling performance and power optimization across multi-die architectures and platform configurations.
Base pay range
$105,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Set up and maintain lab infrastructure including benches, thermal setups, and SOC placements. Perform board bring-ups, rework, and open fixture assembly. Support system configuration tasks such as OS updates, firmware upgrades, and component-level maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., PNP team) to understand setup/configuration flows and ensure timely availability of boards and systems for testing. Develop and execute automation scripts using Python for data parsing and visualization. Collect out-of-band system data (non-BMC) and perform first-level analysis. Assist in telemetry integration and debug tool setup. Maintain documentation and SOPs for lab operations and validation processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2–3 years of experience as a Lab Technician with hands-on board rework and bring-up. Proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis and visualization. Experience with server platforms, embedded systems. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
Platform-Specific Experience (Highly Preferred)
Experience with ARM64 and x86 platforms. Familiarity with hardware accelerators for compression, encryption, and memory operations. Understanding of power consumption, thermal behavior, bandwidth, and latency metrics.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $105,000 Pay Range Maximum: $125,000 Medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; Employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year; 10 paid holidays per year (subject to policy); and other leave as per company policies
