We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test collateral to evaluate the overall system performance of devices. Responsibilities include communicating and reporting results via email, bug reports, and status updates. You will troubleshoot and isolate faults in the assigned technical area by designing, documenting, and executing ad hoc experiments, as well as running and/or creating diagnostic utilities and scripts. Additionally, you will develop automation for the ecosystem and evaluate Windows device software by executing (and modifying as needed) automated and interactive test cases. This role requires applying sound technical judgment in an environment with evolving design specifications by assessing product behavior beyond what is formally documented. Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases on Devices Under Test (DUT) to ensure software and hardware reliability. Install, verify, and validate firmware and driver updates. Accurately document and communicate test results through detailed reports and summaries. Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases, and perform thorough regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure continued product stability. Design, develop, and maintain test scripts using PowerShell, DOS Batch, and Python to support automation and efficiency. Investigate and troubleshoot application malfunctions and non-responsive behaviors to identify root causes. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to triage, track, and resolve software and hardware defects. Required Qualifications
Experience running manual and automated tests on hardware devices. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, DOS Batch, or Python. Strong understanding of Windows drivers, services, and Device Manager. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work onsite during standard business hours. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Hub or similar hardware platforms. Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools. Background in firmware and driver validation. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum:
$90,000 Pay Range Maximum:
