Tool Engineering Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tool Engineering Senior Manager to lead our team of engineers and technical staff in Fort Worth, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple business disciplines, including Enterprise Drilling Technology and Integration (EDTI), Tool Design, NC Programming, and Fabrication Manufacturing Engineering. This position will play a critical role in supporting current and emerging Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs, including F-35, F-16, C-130, Advanced Development Programs (ADP), as well as potential engagements with other Business Areas (BAs) such as Space, RMS, and MFC. The Tool Engineering Senior Manager will be responsible for: Providing engineering direction and guidance associated with hole preparation, tool engineering, NC programming, and manufacturing engineering requirements. Developing and managing organizational operating policies and procedures, budgets, schedules, performance standards, overall objectives, and long-range Tool Engineering organizational goals. Acting as an advisor, providing guidance and direction to resolve critical or complex technical or operational problems, ensuring work meets objectives, schedule, and financial goals. Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training, as well as performance assessments, work assignments, salary, and recognition or disciplinary actions. Conducting briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives as required. Coordinating with equivalent level managers, industry peers, and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, and general overall performance of the team and individual organizational unit(s). Fort Worth, TX This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications: Manage and lead multiple teams with successful project management experience. Knowledge of aircraft assembly and production operations. Understanding and experience in applying Root Cause Analysis methodologies. Success in soliciting, capturing, and executing new business portfolios. Demonstrated success in staff planning and execution. Creative approach to problem-solving with Lean and Six Sigma experience. Ability to conduct analyses and develop resolutions to engineering problems. Knowledge and experience with disciplines like tool design, NC programming, and manufacturing engineering. Desired Skills: Effective communication and engagement with staff, peers, and executives. Successful utilization of performance system to manage employees goals, performance, and engagement. Familiarity with F35 automated drilling and machining equipment, tolerance requirements, and knowledge of cutting tools and processes used in aircraft hole preparation. Demonstrated proficiency and execution of the Focused Leader Engagement Management Operating System (FLEMOS). Experience with FOD and tool control, Tool Services, supply chain management, and engineering processes. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
