The Cyber Security Analyst will plan and execute security measures to protect client information systems. This role involves tasks across various domains, including Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Architecture, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an internal information security consultant to the organization. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to create information security awareness within the organization. Perform information security risk assessments and provide expertise on security-related issues. Review system-related security plans across the organization's corporate network. Monitor compliance with security policies, referring issues to department managers or business areas. Support the security incident response process. Provide input on system software and hardware selection, emphasizing security and compliance requirements. Resolve incidents and problems effectively. Develop security deliverables for production system enhancements and new development. Implement ongoing improvements to security configurations and operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Security experience (as a substitute for the degree). Knowledge of IT security principles and methods. Familiarity with vulnerability dissemination sources (alerts, advisories, bulletins). Understanding of security management concepts (vulnerability, patch management, incident response). Experience in collecting data from various cyber defense resources. Skills in recognizing and categorizing vulnerabilities and associated attacks. Experience using SIEM tools for security event correlation. Ability to conduct vulnerability scans and detect vulnerabilities in information systems. Proficiency in detecting host and network-based intrusions using detection technologies. Ability to interpret information collected by network tools. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in information technology or security (System Administration or Help Desk). Strong written and oral communication skills. Organized, responsive, and detail-oriented problem solver. Required Certifications:
Possession of at least one of the following certifications (others may be substituted based on experience): CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker CCNA-Security – Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security CHFI – Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator
