Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of an automotive network, with a strong focus on processing dealer transactions. This position ensures accurate and timely handling of financial data related to dealership activities, including vehicle sales, service billing, parts inventory, and vendor payments. This job is temp to hire and will pay between $18 and $22/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Process daily dealer transactions including vehicle purchases, service invoices, and parts sales
  • Reconcile dealership accounts and ensure proper posting to the general ledger
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable for multiple dealership locations
  • Verify and enter vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and delivery receipts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized records of dealer financial activity and support internal audits
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for dealership management
  • Communicate with dealership staff and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with financial policies
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally within an automotive dealership or network
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
