Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring Epic experience and BLS certification.
Responsibilities Work on a Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting Night shift, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week Care for patients with conditions including pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status, and sepsis Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 Required to work every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) Floating to other similar Med/Surg departments as needed Uses Epic electronic medical record system First-time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff must have a break of at least six months before being eligible for rehire Modules during orientation are self-reported and must be completed annually Travelers are assigned to float first among staff Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
Requirements Active Michigan RN license required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required At least two years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Must have Med/Surg telemetry experience Epic EMR experience required Flu vaccination proof required, or exemption documentation provided within 48 hours if needed References required for consideration
