About the Role At Arlo, we’re rebuilding health insurance for people who are fed up with the status quo. As a Product Engineer at Arlo, you’ll shape core product experiences that directly help patients navigate care, access high-quality providers, and understand their healthcare costs — before they even step into a doctor’s office.
This role blends engineering, product thinking, and empathy. You’ll ship software that solves real pain points for patients and streamlines internal operations using cutting-edge LLM tech.
Some of the projects you'll drive: Patient Navigation Tools – Make it simple for members to find in-network, high-quality doctors, access virtual care, and connect with live care navigators. Upfront Cost Transparency – Build tools that show patients their real out-of-pocket costs before every visit — one of healthcare’s most broken experiences today. LLM-powered Ops – Use modern AI to streamline internal workflows and help patients get high-quality support faster like AI triage doctors to collect info on your case and symptoms. Requirements Experience building products: You have at least 2+ years of experience working as a full-stack, FE, or mobile engineer. You have experience in building well-designed web or mobile applications from the ground up (i.e., actively involved in making architectural decisions, planning, scoping, etc.). Modeling operational workflows: You have previously modeled operational workflows and translated them into software. Ownership & Prioritization: You don't just want to knock out tasks but want to shape our holistic product strategy by making sound feature decisions and prioritizations. You're thinking beyond the immediate engineering challenges in how your work links with Arlo's mission. Autonomy: You like to work with a high degree of autonomy. You know how to break a complex problem down into tasks and how to prioritize what needs to be done first. Passion: You enjoy working on challenging problems and go above and beyond (we work hard). You care about your work and enjoy being intellectually challenged. You want to solve problems in health care and insurance.
