Auction Sales Analyst
Location: Reno, NV, US The Auction Sales Analyst is responsible for maximizing HDFS sales proceeds on repossessed collateral while complying with policy and procedures in remarketing, reinstatement, and redemption of repossessed collateral. This position represents the company at regional auctions and fosters effective communication and relations with HDFS auction vendors, HD and Independent dealers, other business partners, and customers to best suit the business needs of HDFS. Extensive overnight travel is required. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate auction pre sale and post sale activities to maximize effectiveness, which includes providing a summary of auction sale performance and evaluation of auction processes and results Assist all auction locations when needed to ensure efficiency and results are maintained at the highest levels. Report on auction performance, analyzing market trends and providing key insights Onboarding, complete due diligence, and provide ongoing training and assistance to potential new auction vendors Represents HDFS at regional auctions and promotes positive communication with auction vendors and dealers. Responsible for establishing auction floor prices, making reconditioning decisions, making no-sale decisions, analyzing recovery and retention rates, and enhancing the overall remarketing and auction process for HDFS. Analyzes auction processes and procedures to identify opportunities for process improvements which will enhance the remarketing process and maximize net sales proceeds on repossessed collateral. Interacts with HDFS business partners and customer body in an effort to address concerns and increase dealer participation in the auction process. Works closely with the Remarketing team and Collections team to ensure effective processes are being utilized and department goals are being met. Works in conjunction with Remarketing and Auction teams in evaluating alternative sales channels for repossessed collateral. Overnight travel is 50% of job description. Protection of information and compliance with the law are paramount. Further, it is the responsibility of all employees to maintain awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply with all of them. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Education Specifications: High School Degree/GED Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Requirements: Required: Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
