Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to set-up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes. This includes both emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. The role will provide opportunities to gain necessary skills and knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices. Responsibilities
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems and pumps. Assist all departments with equipment breakdowns. Perform basic facilities maintenance activities. Use a voltmeter, welder, and basic hand tools; check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors, and AC-DC systems; and troubleshoot faulty electric circuits. Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Follow all safety requirements of the position. Fabricate equipment to support production requirements. Essential Skills
2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Ability to safely use hand and power tools, and electrical devices, such as voltmeter and ammeter. Ability to read and work from schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and sketches. Basic computer skills, including MS Office and maintenance management systems. May require a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and repair. Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects. Mobility sufficient to allow frequent entrance and exits from lift or fork truck. Must be able to wear dust masks, earplugs, and face shields as necessary. Ability to climb ladders and other elevated equipment, listen to equipment, look for defects in products, and sense temperature changes in finished products. Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours per shift and work around hot machinery. Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting, and bending to operate and fix equipment. Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50lbs multiple times per shift. Why Work Here?

The work environment is a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Initial training occurs on the day shift (7 am-3:30 pm, Monday to Friday) for the first 60-90 days with the leadership team. The regular schedule is a night shift from 7 pm to 7 am on a 2-2-3 schedule. The position may require supporting multiple shifts and providing on-call assistance. Employees work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements such as hot and cold temperatures and occasional loud noises. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, Utah. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
