Abode Communities Property Management manages over 40 multifamily residential communities serving some 6,200 low-income people throughout California. The organization, with a 98% portfolio-wide occupancy rate, offers a full range of professional services to ensure our residential portfolios, and housing portfolios of similar community development organizations, remain physically solvent and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Property management staff members go above and beyond to ensure each property managed becomes a pillar within its community. This is accomplished through the creation of vibrant, connected spaces that support each residents emotional, physical and financial ability to thrive. Position Summary

The Leasing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the leasing operations across our affordable housing portfolio. This individual is responsible for facilitating the leasing process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations (including LIHTC and HUD programs), and delivering excellent customer service to prospective and current residents. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about affordable housing. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all leasing activities including scheduling tours, processing applications, and preparing lease documentation. Conduct applicant interviews and gather required documentation for eligibility verification under LIHTC, Section 8, or other affordable housing programs. Ensure timely and accurate completion of tenant files in accordance with compliance guidelines. Maintain updated records in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, etc.). Respond to inquiries from prospective residents and follow up on leads. Prepare and distribute leasing materials, marketing flyers, and community updates. Assist with annual recertifications and resident file audits. Collaborate with property management, compliance, and resident services teams to ensure smooth lease-up and ongoing occupancy. Support the planning and implementation of community events and outreach efforts to promote available units. Ensure the leasing office and model units are clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with materials. Maintain accurate records and track all essential leasing and resident documentation. Provide regular progress updates and prepare reports. Attend required leasing calls for properties. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations, including Fair Housing laws. Develop and maintain relationships with external providers. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in residential leasing or property management, preferably in affordable housing. Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, the Los Angeles Housing Department and Fair Housing regulations. Proficiency in property management software (Yardi, OneSite, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual a plus. Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or similar certification preferred.
