Job Summary:

The Buyer will support purchasing activities across 12 manufacturing sites, focusing on timely procurement of raw materials and MRO supplies. This role handles purchase orders, supplier coordination, price updates, and ensures materials are delivered per production requirements. The Buyer will work closely with the Senior Buyer to implement sourcing initiatives and resolve supply chain issues. Duties/Responsibilities: Place and track purchase orders for assigned materials and suppliers.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to meet production demands.

Coordinate delivery schedules and expedite shipments when needed.

Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP (pricing, lead time, part numbers).

Support invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

Assist in gathering quotes and supplier information for sourcing projects.

Communicate regularly with plant personnel regarding order status and issues.

Education and Experience: Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain , Business, or related field.

2-6 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Knowledge of raw material and MRO supply categories is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
