Job Summary: The Construction Craft Recruiter will research, develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract qualified and capable talent for the company. Duties/Responsibilities: Recruiting, hiring and retaining of construction craft employees. Taking incoming calls and walk in applications for job opportunities and openings. Placing and monitoring ads thru the company website, applicant software system and any social media platforms. Reviewing applications, performing telephone interviews and screenings and scheduling interviews with qualified applicants. Onboarding of new hires to include all required paperwork, drug screenings and distribution of PPE. Representing the company at network functions such as job fairs and other outreach programs as they become available. Working closely with crews and current employees to meet the hiring needs of the company. Construction craft recruiting experience is required. Creativity in methods to recruit construction craft candidates for jobs is a plus. Additional clerical duties may be assigned as need arises. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics. Ability to make independent determination of qualified candidates based on job descriptions and needs. General computer skills and knowledge. Good understanding of social media as it relates to advertising job opportunities. Self starter and ability to work with limited supervision. Good organization skills. Background in successful recruiting and networking. Ability to research and find candidates for job openings. Drivers License and transportation.
