The OTS Training Specialist will support the development, coordination, delivery, and administration of complex facility training programs. You will deliver Operator Training Simulator (OTS) training, assess personnel competencies, and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working closely with the Training Manager, facility leadership, and client representatives to ensure regulatory compliance, technical accuracy, and effective knowledge transfer. Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and execute OTS training during Home Office and Field/Site phases. Support detailed scheduling and tracking of training activities. Lead and assess personnel training in compliance with established training programs. Coordinate with client on shared tasks outlined in the Training Plan. Manage the development and administration of facility-wide training programs. Supervise training logistics, materials, and delivery. Develop and implement technical training aligned with a Systematic Approach to Training. Monitor delivery to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements. Support preparation of operational manuals, safety policies, and training procedures. Assist with quality reviews to enhance training efficiency and cost effectiveness. Provide input for training budget estimates. Represent the Training Manager as needed. Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 10-13 years of relevant experience, OR 14-17 years of equivalent work experience. Minimum 5+ years in training and development of operations personnel in complex processing facilities (preference for Hydrocarbon/Client industries). Direct experience delivering OTS training programs. Required Skills
Applied knowledge of OTS training methodologies. Ability to deliver and assess technical training in classroom and simulator settings. Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting reports and materials. Experience designing, coordinating, and administering large-scale training programs. Knowledge of operations and maintenance processes in complex plants. Preferred Skills
Familiarity with contractor and client OTS deliverables. Ability to develop improvised training aids and adapt delivery techniques. Strong supervisory and team coordination skills. Additional Skills
Knowledge of safety and security codes, regulations, and compliance. Ability to support budgeting and resource planning for training activities. Skills in process evaluation and continuous improvement for training delivery. Benefits
