Were seeking best-in-class individuals to join our Supply Chain team to support development and production flow of satellites. This is a high-profile, cross-functional role that works closely with engineering and manufacturing to execute creative and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals. Responsibilities
Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices related to assigned category Forecast demand, evaluate capacity, and manage supply signals to adjust incoming material Track high-risk components and supplier delivery performance Communicate clearly and rapidly to influence decisions of vendors and senior leadership Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs Create sourcing strategies for all mechanical custom and COTS hardware Develop a preferred supplier network and leverage it to minimize cost and lead time for fabrication and delivery Support commodities include machined parts, electromechanical equipment, finish processes, mechanical assemblies, etc. Solve complex, open-ended problems with emphasis on speed and efficiency Manage outsource fabrication projects, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and managing vendor performance Perform onsite reviews of vendor capabilities Author contract documents with the legal department and manage contracts to ensure performance Understand interrelationships between contracts and terms, applying creativity and business reasoning to contract applications Utilize negotiations to maximize value while reducing risk Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling, or technical procurement/planning with PCB/PCBA or electrical components; or 4+ years in one or more of these areas Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with Printed Circuit Board and/or Substrate Fabrication Experience with PCBAs, contract manufacturing, electronic component packaging, and managing a technical supply chain Experience managing high-spend portfolios (e.g., $10M+) Experience with MRP/ERP systems and managing BOMs, work orders, and purchase orders Forecasting, demand planning, and lead time analysis Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, and PowerBI Effective written and verbal communications across all levels Ability to learn quickly and prioritize to meet customer and company needs Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly in a fast-moving environment Ability to conduct activities with integrity and urgency Additional Requirements
Position may require extended hours and/or weekend work when needed Position may require travel up to 25% Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: Sr. Sourcing Specialist: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Your final level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is one part of the total rewards package, which may include stock or stock options, bonuses, and other benefits. Benefits include medical, vision, dental coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short- and long-term disability, life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation and holidays, and other discounts and perks.
