Senior Informatics Advisor

Responsible for the health informatics, global metrics reporting and coordination of H&M Global Medical Database system development and management, planning, designing and implementation of new resources and tools to create and maintain the systems that fulfill the requirements of Global H&M to support the Global H&M strategy achieve and sustain the global capability that supports cross enterprise health related Operational Excellence Processes and health and medical programs and services.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Manages the global development, alignment, integration, continuous improvement and maintenance of Electronic Medical Records System.
Bridges clinical and IT teams, supporting translation of clinical workflows and requirements to IT /Vendor.
Complies to applicable medical related laws – clinical documentation requirements, medical confidentiality; data privacy and security, HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR etc.
Provides subject matter expert for identifying systematic improvements to meet global health and medical requirements .
Directs team on interfaces with other Chevron data systems for managing integrated medical systems, such as Workday and vendor related systems.
Coordinates deployment/implementation of EMR to business units including decommissioning of systems to integrate medical databases to one global database.
Coordinates training of the business unit Super Users and manage the global Super Users network.
Coordinates the development and maintenance of user manuals, training materials and the global database Share Point site(s).
Negotiates contracts with vendors.
Ensures compliance of the system to data privacy laws including system security requirements including auditing business units on their compliance.
Manages data quality of the electronic records.
Manages global system support of the EMR, software releases and the governance process.
Health Metrics:
Oversees/manages clinical data collection, mining, analysis , visualization, and interpretations; ensuring data collection are accurate, clinically relevant and supports clinical decision making.
Oversees /manages collection of data to support identified Global Health and Medical performance measurements and metrics.
Coordinates collection of metrics including reviewing, analyzing and evaluating measures/metrics that help drives business decisions.
Coordinates/manages reporting of metrics on a regular basis to the leadership team.
Works with leadership team to provide data for Global H&M annual reports.
Provides guidance and coordination of medical software reports, user training and statistical reporting.
H&M Projects:
Participates and works on assigned projects under the H&M Execution Team Portfolio.
Supervise EMR Corp/Regional Superusers:
Oversees/manages the team supporting the global medical database systems and interfaces, updates and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
Background education on health/clinical informatics and health related course with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in these fields.
Have electronic health/medical record system management expertise and have knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements related to EMR including data privacy laws.
Understand clinical and care delivery workflows including clinical terminologies - ICD 10, LOINC, CDA, SNOWMED, HL7 interfaces.
Highly skilled in SQL, Excel advanced functions and Power BI.
Have managed data or metrics supporting business strategic focus areas, data integration and analytics.
Strong communication, supervisory and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in bridging clinical and IT teams, supporting translation of clinical workflows and requirements to IT /Vendor.
Expertise in clinical data collection, mining, analysis , visualization, and interpretations; ensuring data collection are accurate, clinically relevant and supports clinical decision making.
Expertise in developing health metrics that supports high quality patient care and outcomes.
