Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the System Acquisition Group, Logistics Integration Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV as a Product Support Manager in a Key Leadership Position. Announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies in the following location: Patuxent River, Maryland Responsibilities You will be the Lead Logistician for all logisticians supporting the program and will serve as principle weapons system product support subject matter expert to the PMA’s Program Manager to assist in his/her duties as Total Life Cycle Manager. You will formulate and execute the Life Cycle Sustainment strategy for assigned system(s), and determine the best approach in expending resources to provide the best value long-term outcomes for the Warfighter. You will submit/defend system(s) budgets in response to Planning, Programming, Budget and execution (PPBE) calls, while providing defendable support cost information to the program manager and to higher levels within DOD. You will manage and direct the effort of all product support personnel on program teams/IPTs providing acquisition and sustaining product support to assigned systems(s). You will direct the efforts of the product support team in accomplishing Logistics Support Analyses and production planning documentation including Integrated Logistics Support Plans, Maintenance Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, etc. You will assist in the implementation and execution design concepts during trade-off studies and cost effectiveness analysis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (DS-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a subject matter expert or a project/program manager in a field such as Facilities and Equipment Operations, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, or in other similar areas; 2) Overseeing program development or oversight of NAVAIR, DoN, or equivalent level programs, and independently resolving problems or issues impacting programs that extend across the organization; 3) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing the command; 4) Meeting with experts who have a variety of viewpoints on issues of importance, presenting the organization's position on specific problems, and participating in the problem solving process by negotiation, compromise, or developing suitable alternatives; 5) Leading an entire project/program throughout an organization by managing project/program requirements, objectives, metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources.
