Shift Details This On-Call Shuttle Driver position is designed to provide coverage when our regularly scheduled drivers are unavailable. This role is perfect for former school bus drivers, looking to stay active with flexible, as-needed work. If hired, you will be contacted to provide coverage when regularly scheduled drivers are unavailable. Shuttle Team Operating Hours Monday Friday 6:00 am 7:00 pm Morning Shift 6:00am 10:00am Afternoon Shift 3:00pm 7:00pm Minimum Requirements Over the age of 21 years old Eligible to work for any U.S. Employer High school Diploma or GED Possess a valid active in-state regular drivers license (Permit or Probationary License not accepted) At least 2 years of Van/shuttle driving experience with a strong, personable, customer-centric background is required Extremely safe driver, familiar with and able to adhere to all major traffic laws Maintained a clean driving record for the past 5 years as an active driver A CDL License is not required, but is a plus! Key Responsibilities When Shuttling Guests Greet and welcome guests to the healthcare facility Answer guests questions regarding offices or department locations Follow a planned route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off patients, visitors, and guests Assist patients, visitors, and guests on and off the shuttle when help is needed Use apps/technology daily to maintain operational efficiency and logistics for the assigned shuttle route Complete pre-shift and end-shift safety checks and document any damage or necessary information about the shuttle When Not Shuttle Driving for Guests Greet and welcome guests to the healthcare facility Assist in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional work environment for your co-workers and passengers Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with all patients, guests, and team members Answer guests questions regarding medical offices or department locations About You The right fit for this role is friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with people from all walks of life. Experience driving vans, shuttles, or other larger vehicles is important, along with the ability to provide a safe and welcoming ride. A positive attitude, patience, and a focus on customer service will make you successful in this on-call position. Assist individuals with mobility challenges boarding the shuttle Daily use of apps/technology to maintain operational efficiency and logistics Meticulously maintain records, including photos of the vehicle, condition, and other records as needed Efficiently manage shuttle logistics, adhering to all site requirements and assigned routes, abiding by all traffic laws Provide accurate directions and helpful information about the hospital facilities Effectively build relationships with hospital staff, patients, guests, and team Actively maintain a clean and professional work environment Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Over the age of 21 years old Eligible to work for any U.S. Employer High school Diploma or GED Possess a valid active in-state regular drivers license (Permit or Probationary License not accepted) At least 2 years of Van/shuttle driving experience with a strong, personable, customer-centric background is required Extremely safe driver, familiar with and able to adhere to all major traffic laws Maintained a clean driving record for the past 5 years as an active driver A CDL License is not required, but is a plus!
