Axon provides electronic control devices to law enforcement and corrections agencies. They are seeking a Crime Analytics Engineer to enhance analytics for Axon software applications, responsible for configuring databases, designing analytics solutions, and developing reports tailored to customer needs. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and dashboards to support business analytics and reporting needs. Partner with public safety client agencies to understand their processes and how our products support their reporting and analytics needs. Configure system databases for Axon Records and Standards analytics. Author and configure Power BI and/or SSMS reports, dashboards, and analytics for customers. Train public safety agencies on Power BI and/or SSMS reporting capabilities within Axons applications. Build tools to support clients in managing their digital transformation journey. Create training strategies and instructional materials for customer software. Use effective instructional design methodologies related to reporting & analytics. Communicate testing, training plans, activities, and outcomes to stakeholders. Collaborate with Axon Academy on eLearning training assets and delivery via Axons LMS. Partner with product engineering teams to assess content, system developments, and update training materials. Serve as a product SME in crime analytics and reporting. Optimize data models and queries for performance and efficiency. Qualifications:
Required:
10+ years of experience in public safety software testing, training, or implementation projects. Proficiency in SQL management studio, Power BI, or similar tools. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Exposure to software development and process improvement. Experience transforming content into engaging learning experiences. Ability to write clear instructions and scripts for audio/video. Ability to pass CJIS background check and handle sensitive information. Preferred:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science/data analytics. Deep knowledge of Public Safety crime analysis. Company:
