Spectrum Internship Experience
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. You're a motivated rising senior student with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Technology. This is a full-time, 10-week program designed to give you real-world experience working within the telecommunications industry in your field of choice. Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026. In addition to the role-based projects you'll work on, you'll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor. You'll join one of our departments for the summer, where you'll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it's like to work at a leading connectivity company. Build connections with our team members and senior leaders who can help you better understand what our business looks like and what it's like to work here. Receive mentorship from a member of our team, who can provide one-on-one advice to help you reach your professional goals. As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations. Internship responsibilities may include: Agent and Interface Development: Assist in the development of AI assistants, focusing on integrating AI capabilities into user interfaces. Contribute to the design and implementation of AI interfaces using basic HTML. Create and modify prompts to drive AI assistants accuracy. API Development and Integration: Work on developing and integrating APIs for AI models to ensure smooth communication with other systems. Implement API calls for data retrieval and model deployment. Data Collection and Preprocessing: Assist in gathering data from various sources using SQL and APIs. Clean and preprocess data to ensure quality and consistency for metric analysis. Metric Design and Implementation: Develop metrics to evaluate the performance and impact of AI models. Work with data visualization tools to create dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs). Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations to communicate insights using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or other data visualization libraries. Support the team in presenting data findings to stakeholders. Preferred/Nice to Have Duties: Cloud Services and Deployment: Explore and utilize Azure OpenAI services for deploying and managing AI models. Gain exposure to deploying models on Oracle or MS SQL databases. Advanced AI Tools and Libraries: Experiment with advanced Python libraries used in AI design and implementation. Work with Langchain for developing language models. ReAct Framework: Assist in projects involving the ReAct framework, focusing on integrating reactive programming principles into AI development. Required qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December 2026 - May 2027. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program. Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
