Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance and streamline the assembly processes for our optoelectronic products. This role involves improving product consistency, conducting experiments to refine production methods, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine production methods for assembling camera and laser sensor systems.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
- Set and monitor statistical quality targets such as SPC and Cpk.
- Analyze production data to identify and resolve causes of defects or inefficiencies.
- Design custom tools and automation software solutions to improve efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and customer-specific standards.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related defects and implement soft initiatives like Kaizen and 5S.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
- 35+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with automation and fixture/tooling design
- Familiarity with Python programming
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing principles
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Understanding of software-hardware integration
- Experience working with lasers and cameras

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.70/hr.
