This position is part of the Training Team, responsible for coordinating staff, volunteer, and intern training on the Crisis and Text Lines. Responsibilities include developing training materials, facilitating trainings based on best practice standards (including those of the American Association of Suicidology, 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and Vibrant), and supporting the implementation of a Learning Management System. The role also involves maintaining morale among staff, interns, and volunteers, and supporting agency goals. Schedule requirements
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) requiring availability on evenings and weekends, with a weekly on-call consultation shift. Flexibility to support training needs and attendance at meetings is required. Supervision
The coordinator reports to the Training Manager and supervises Training Team Program Assistants and Crisis Line staff. Decision-making authority
Includes approving volunteers, developing training programs, supervising trainers, and providing clinical consultation. Also involves recommending policies and budget needs. Typical duties
Support 988 expansion efforts, including program development and training Maintain and update training materials Facilitate training classes and evaluate their effectiveness Support trainer development and oversee on-shift training Manage volunteer screening, onboarding, and record-keeping Qualifications
Knowledge of mental health laws and regulations Experience in crisis intervention or suicide prevention Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Office and G Suite Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred Benefits and compensation
Includes prorated health benefits, paid holidays, sick/vacation leave, and a 403(b) plan. Salary ranges from $36.06 to $37.50 per hour, with a 40-hour workweek plus on-call duties. Hybrid schedule with one on-site day per week. Additional notes
