The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Total compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level. About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in New York. The HR Coordinator will provide day-to-day operational support across a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, escalating issues as needed. Support recruitment activities, including resume review, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and managing applicant tracking systems. Prepare and distribute new hire offer letters, contracts, and onboarding materials. Facilitate new hire orientations and ensure completion of required paperwork (I-9, tax forms, benefits enrollment). Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR). Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire elections, and employee questions. Support HR programs such as performance management cycles, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (NY State and NYC-specific regulations). Generate HR reports, track metrics, and assist with audits as required. Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including calendar management and document preparation. Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 23 years of experience in HR, administration, or a related support role. Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday, ADP, or similar) is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
