Engineer Position
Selectek is seeking a motivated Engineer to join our team in Griffin, GA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in power connector applications and design principles. The selected candidate will develop expertise in sand castings, foundry operations, and machine shop procedures while contributing to product development, testing, and technical support. Key Responsibilities: Review and cross-reference company part numbers on customer quote requests. Provide cost estimates for new and custom parts. Develop 2D assembly and pattern CAD drawings and 3D part CAD models as needed. Design, order, and inspect patterns for manufacturing. Support the Quality Assurance Department by inspecting in-process parts for adherence to specifications. Recommend and order pattern modifications to improve production efficiency. Assist customers, sales teams, and agents with technical inquiries and product recommendations. Conduct mechanical and electrical tests on products, analyze results, and prepare detailed test reports to meet customer or industry standards. Assist in catalog updates and the development of technical and promotional materials. Support and help enforce company Quality Assurance and Safety programs. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience. Strong desire and ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor preferred). Competency in additional software, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for product support. Experience in power engineering, utilities, or substations is preferred but not required.
