Team and Role

Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martins best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability. Controls Engineering is an organization within FBM that facilitates control of the missile through servo actuators, gas hydraulic systems, and small rocket motors. We are a community of engineers looking for a dependable project engineer to join our tight-knit group. The Mechanical Controls group is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost. This position is for a Sustainment Proposal and Long Range Planning Lead in the Boost Control System (BCS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) that collaborates well in a team environment, has excellent communication skills and can work independently and lead all sustainment proposal and long range planning efforts for the ongoing D5LE program that the BCS IPT supports. The BCS IPT is responsible for all cost, schedule, and technical aspects of the requalification, production, sustainment, and management of the Thrust Vector Control (TVC), Small Motors, and Aerospike Subsystems on the Trident II D5 Missile. The BCS IPT is actively supporting the D5LE program through sustainment, production, and requalification activities and long range planning and proposal efforts are needed to continue this support for multiple commodities. Responsibilities

Determine and develop technical requirements Lead a team in the development of a high profile proposal Contribute to new business trade studies Enhance cross discipline product development Participate in mentorship opportunities and professional development Be the technical interface to FBM management, systems engineering, quality, other IPT members, and our Navy counterparts Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Any combination of experience in: engineering project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals, technical evaluations, tracking and development of cost/schedule Experience in proposals, preferably government proposals (BOEs, SOWs, supplier proposal evaluations) Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Desired Skills: Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience Experience with FBM processes and products Experience with aerospace manufacturing Experience as a principal engineer or project lead Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative Security and Compliance

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position:

9x80 every other Friday off Pay and Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidates final work location. The salary information is a general guideline and may consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, and market conditions.
