Local Contract Labor & Delivery Nurse We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional, evidence-based care to patients throughout all phases of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery. This role requires clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery in accordance with established protocols and best practices Continuously assess maternal and fetal status, promptly identifying and responding to changes in condition Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to support safe, timely deliveries Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses Educate and support patients and families on the labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards Uphold patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality at all times Qualifications: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience in an acute care setting Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
