Facilities Analyst

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is looking to hire an experienced Facilities Analyst to support the delivery of services within the Hospitality Section of the Corporate Services and Facilities Department (CSF). The Hospitality section oversees the food services program at the Fund headquarters, provides event planning and coordination services for meetings and special events at the Fund headquarters, and manages the IMF Concordia Hotel in support of the Institute's training program. Our team of staff is supplemented by approximately 130 vendor employees from three vendor companies. Under the general supervision of the Hospitality Section Chief, the Senior Facilities Analyst supports the planning, scheduling, and execution of specific assignments to provide administrative support and project management services at the Fund headquarters and IMF Concordia Hotel. Work is performed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and operational flexibility is required to meet sudden, unpredictable business requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the engagement and communication activities of the hospitality portfolio Identify problems in services delivery and provide solutions applying technical expertise and analytical skills. Support the performance management system, budgeting processes, procurement, purchasing, and accounting processes of the section. Support the coordination of the contract and quality management processes of the hospitality portfolio. Prepare day-to-day reporting and more complex analyses for the hospitality portfolio. Participate in the Events Management System (EMS) renewal project in providing functional support, including documenting and streamlining business processes together with key stakeholders. Support with major events such as Spring and Annual Meetings. Perform other duties as assigned, including on ad-hoc projects involving hospitality services. Qualifications: Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a relevant university degree, or equivalent training and experience in Hospitality management, business administration, information systems, facility management, business analytics, or related field, is required. In the alternative, a minimum of two years of experience in a related position at Grade A05, or equivalent, is required. Distinctive analytical and conceptual skills with an interest in complex technical content. Proven communications skills including good writing and oral communications skills and experience in drafting and presenting complex content in clear and accessible language for non-experts. Experience in coordinating small projects, for example preparing business cases and project planning for administrative support systems or analytics projects. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to understand assignments quickly, appropriately prioritize them, and execute them with minimal intervention from supervisor. Strong creative drive and innovative mindset. Team player, with excellent interpersonal skills. This vacancy shall be filled by a 3-year Term appointment in accordance with the Fund's new employment rules that took effect on May 1, 2015.
