Compliance Technician
At the direction of the Compliance and Privacy Manager, the Compliance Technician is responsible for supporting Tribal compliance with mandated audits, surveys, and to help investigate and resolve compliance-related grievances and incident reports. In addition, the Compliance Technician shall help ensure that staff are familiar with the compliance and grievance processes. Essential Functions: Assists Compliance and Privacy Manager with gathering, preparing, and reviewing internal and external audit materials Assists with auditing internal billing, documentation, and/or organizational processes and provides findings and feedback to involved departments and relevant leadership as needed Utilizes responses from surveys, complaints, and suggestions to provide a data-focused framework for implementing change in alignment with Kenaitze Indian Tribes Mission, Vision, and Values. Reports and educates clinics/programs regarding changes in standards and/or performance below standards Communicates obstacles to the Compliance and Privacy Manager in a timely manner Seeks out additional learning opportunities to continue to develop technical and professional skills Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance It is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list. Working Conditions: Lifting Requirements: Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
