Entry-Level Patient Care Coordinator

reports to the Center Administrator and plays a vital role in providing front office support. Key responsibilities include appointment scheduling, patient registration, and handling various clerical tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve health services. Hours:

2901 Transport St. Albuquerque, NM 87106 Primary Responsibilities: Welcome patients as they arrive and ensure timely check-in/check-out processes. Verify patient demographics and insurance information, completing necessary pre-authorizations and documentation. Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, issuing receipts as required. Handle incoming calls, assisting with appointment scheduling and inquiries. Manage medical records efficiently, ensuring all correspondence is appropriately scanned/fielded. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues. Perform other assigned duties to support office operations. Why Optum?

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher). 1+ years of experience in a customer service role. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting. Experience with data entry tasks. Familiarity with EMR and medical software. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Pay varies based on several factors, including local labor markets and individual qualifications. Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $27.69 for full-time employment.
