Position Summary
MSR I:
Under general supervision, acts as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting member needs or requests. Provides accurate account information and information about credit union products and services to members and prospective members. Opens new accounts, resolves issues, and handles member inquiries face to face. Provides a variety of transactional services for accounts on deposit and loan products. Recognizes additional financial service needs and promotes relevant services/products to members. MSR II:
Under moderate supervision, acts as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting member needs or requests. Provides accurate account information and information about products and services. Opens new accounts, resolves issues, and handles member inquiries face to face. Provides transactional services for accounts on deposit and loan products. Recognizes additional financial service needs and promotes services/products. Ability to assist with Teller functions. Conduct on-the-job training for MSR I. Responsibilities and Skills
Cross-sell products and services based on member needs, per program standards. Listening and communication: engage with members to understand needs and provide clear information. Handle routine account-related requests: funds transfers, automatic transfers (AFTs), stop payments, inquiries about deposits, ATM/Debit usage and limits, transactions, and check verification requests. Maintain dependability: meet deadlines, attend on time, and contribute consistently. Ensure quality of work: accuracy, attention to detail, and professional conduct.
Education
High School Diploma (general studies) Required General Education Development (GED) In Lieu of H.S. Diploma
Experience
MSR I Twelve (12) months Sales/Teller/Member Service Experience Required MSR I Twelve (12) Financial Services Background Preferred MSR II Eighteen (18) months Financial Services Background Preferred
Additional Experience and Qualifications
Proficient in lending processes including input, funding, and maintenance. Adherence to BSA, Privacy Act, and Elder Abuse reporting. Assist with lending up to and including funding and maintenance of loans. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Participation in Business Development activities REQUIRED
Additional Requirements
There may be circumstances related to MECU business operations that require reporting to a different branch/work location. Compensation
