Overview
First Security Bank is seeking a professional, energetic and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Banker. This is a part-time, on-site role with the ability to float between Conway branches within the designated market. Responsibilities
Accept and process transactions from bank customers by personal contact, mail, and night deposit. Identify customer needs, explain financial products, and help resolve customer issues. Cross-train to perform retail banking specialist duties, including opening new accounts, establishing direct deposit accounts, opening retirement accounts, and providing efficient and quality customer service. Promote bank services and products following cross-selling procedures or refer customers to the appropriate bank personnel. Adhere to daily opening and closing procedures and security measures; secure coins and currency in the vault at closing. Maintain currency and coin supply; balance cash; handle proof work and coin machine operations as needed. Receive mortgage, consumer, and other loan payments. Assist with night deposits, mail deposits and ATM deposits; process currency transactions as required; prepare CTR/SIRF reports when needed. Inform managers of department activities, problems, concerns or outages; assist with resolving retail outages and discrepancies. Provide quality service by answering questions and handling customer inquiries; assist other retail staff with unusual transactions. Identify fraudulent transactions and stay informed about new suspicious activities; learn to execute wire transfers. Adhere to privacy requirements and protect confidential customer information. Operate internal software and equipment; maintain on-site work attendance and be able to travel between branches as needed. Attend Retail training classes as assigned; perform additional duties as requested by management. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; 12 years of post-secondary education and/or cash handling, customer service, or relevant banking experience preferred. Position begins as a Retail Banker with intent to promote to Retail Banking Specialist as skills are developed. Proficiency with Outlook, Word, typing, 10-key, and internet usage; reliable transportation for inter-branch travel. Willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers. Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 29 hours or less per week. Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am 5:30pm; Friday 9:00am 6:00pm; Saturday 8:00am 12:00pm (typically 3 per month). Extended working hours may be required. Other Information
