The IMI team delivers the executive-facing metrics that define how WGU measures impact, performance, and student outcomes. We create the single source of truth for metrics across the university, partnering closely with leaders and analytics teams to turn raw data into powerful insights. Our team blends technical expertise, storytelling, and collaboration to ensure every decision at WGU is data-informed. The Role: Senior Data Analyst
As a Senior Data Analyst on the IMI team, you'll be the go-to expert for extracting, analyzing, and transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. You'll work closely with Data Engineering, Product, Finance, EdTech, and faculty teams to uncover trends, explain the "why" behind the numbers, and support decisions that shape the future of higher education. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, enjoys working across multiple domains, and has a knack for turning technical details into stories that drive action. * Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics, answer complex questions, and uncover root causes behind key trends. * Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Tableau or Power BI that help leaders see the big picture at a glance. * Use SQL to wrangle and optimize large datasets, ensuring accuracy and performance. * Collaborate with Data Engineering to design pipelines and ensure data quality across the university. * Translate user stories into technical requirements, balancing stakeholder needs with scalable data solutions. * Tell compelling data stories that connect...
