Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist. This position is located in St. Louis, MO and will be fully remote. Responsibilities include: Providing technical support for computers and associated networks. Installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. Providing personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installing, servicing, and repairing personal computers and installing attendant software. Connecting personal computers and terminals to existing data networks. Maintaining network diagrams and circuit records. Maintaining trouble logs. Instructing users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigating information, network, and communications needs of users, and making recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases. Conferring with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. Installing and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients or staff in person, via telephone or from a remote location. Maintaining a record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities. Developing training materials and procedures, and/or training users in the proper use of hardware and software. Qualifications: Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience: Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
