As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will shape and improve the experience of key Vertafore customers and work cross-functionally across Customer Support, Account Management, Product Management and Product Development to guide customers and contribute to team growth. You will collaborate with a fast-paced team on multiple high-profile projects, delivering solutions that meet customer expectations with minimal defects. You may also engage with customers as part of a cross-functional team, being proactive, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and acting as a mentor and customer champion within Vertafore. Responsibilities

Innovate and craft clean code Describe technical concepts to customers and recommend appropriate solutions (custom or a mix of custom and core Vertafore products) Assist business analysts with reviewing requests and documenting solution designs that align with customer objectives Document, architect and develop forward-thinking technical specifications and solutions from business requirements Create advanced database objects using T-SQL/SSMS; optimize query performance and indexing ETL data processes; interface design, documentation and unit testing Develop automated deployments and assist with production releases Work in small teams, complete tasks quickly with minimal supervision Lead junior developers and provide proactive feedback to leadership Influence design decisions across the product and define valuable artifacts for the team Incorporate new approaches and technologies; develop new features and fix bugs Troubleshoot issues across OS, DB, applications, JavaScript, and network; provide solutions across stacks Ensure code quality within the team and enforce development procedures and standards Mentor team members and stay current with industry trends Collaborate with customers to gather insights and translate them into designs Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Java/.NET and common frameworks Experience working in an Agile environment 3+ years of experience in security best practices for software and data platforms 3+ years of experience with Restful APIs 3+ years of design, architecture, and implementation at an enterprise level Experience with Angular or similar technology preferred 3+ years of experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Cassandra, etc.) Experience with Identity and Access Management preferred Additional Requirements And Details
