We are seeking a senior backend software engineer to join Addepar in our Data Imports team. This team handles large volumes of data and builds distributed systems for automated data ingestion and transformation. You will work with modern technology stacks to help build the next generation of Addepars data, computation, API, and research platform. We value engineers who care deeply about solving hard problems at scale, delight customers, and contribute to the companys success. If you have designed scalable systems or worked with teams on complex financial data problems, you may be a strong fit. The current salary range for this role is $125,000 - $195,000 (base salary) plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary ranges are location-dependent and reflect base salary only. Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well-designed, testable code Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers and partners on projects Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges Mentor other engineers on the team Document software functionality, system design, and project plans; include clean, readable code with comments Promote engineering standard methodologies and principles Who You Are
B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field (or equivalent practical experience) Professional software engineering experience with object-oriented programming; expertise in Java is a plus Experience building and evolving large-scale distributed systems Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures Strong AWS knowledge and architectural experience is a plus Ownership mindset and drive to solve important problems Passion for implementing standard processes with a bias toward smart automation Ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers Our Values
