Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on buyers, their buying criteria, and competitive trends. Craft messaging that highlights differentiators and business value to resonate with target audiences. Content Creation: Develop compelling messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that demonstrate differentiated business value. Presentation and Thought Leadership: Present to internal and external audiences; become the primary thought leader for the supported solutions. Domain Expertise: Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; translate insights into actionable guidance for sales, marketing, and product teams. Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in planning and launching new solution capabilities and updates to drive demand and awareness. Sales Enablement: Create enablement content and tools to help sellers communicate our value proposition. Dynamic Collaboration: Align with product management, marketing, and sales to ensure benefits are clearly communicated across releases. Customer Advocacy: Leverage customer stories to strengthen messaging and marketing efforts. Travel: Willingness to travel to events and meetings; travel is expected to be 10-15%. Note: This role can be in a Proofpoint office, hybrid, or remote. What You Bring To The Team
8+ years of experience in product marketing; experience in email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT preferred. BS/BA in business or technical field; MBA a plus. Proven experience marketing to enterprise and technical buyers with concise messaging. Strong content creation, writing, editing, and presentation skills with ability to tailor messaging to different audiences. Strategic thinker with a collaborative, self-starting mindset and sound judgment. Analytical, able to manage multiple priorities and projects; capable of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams. Ability to articulate value propositions at product and solution levels; strong public speaking skills. High energy and willingness to engage with multiple teams; travel readiness.
