The Role

We’re looking for a strong, talented, result-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive go-to-market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution and partner closely with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute high-impact assets and enable the field to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, a strategic thinker who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and exercises sound judgment. Your Day-to-Day

Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on our buyers—who they are, how they buy, and their buying criteria. Craft clear messaging that differentiates our value against market and competitive trends and resonates with the target audience. Content Creation: Create compelling messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) to highlight differentiated business value. Presentation and Thought Leadership: Present to internal and external audiences, including sales training, customer briefings, webinars, industry events, and analyst briefings. Be the primary thought leader for the solutions you support. Domain Expertise: Establish yourself as a thought leader in the email security market. Research market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape; translate into actionable insights for sales, marketing, product management, and more. Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and launches of new solution capabilities and releases to generate sales and market awareness. Sales Enablement: Create and deliver enablement content and tools that help sellers identify opportunities and communicate our value. Dynamic Collaboration: Build strong relationships with product management, marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to ensure alignment on release benefits and business goals. Customer Advocacy: Leverage customer success stories and testimonials to strengthen messaging and marketing efforts. What You Bring To The Team

8+ years of experience in product marketing. Email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT experience strongly preferred. BS/BA required; MBA a plus. Proven experience marketing to enterprise businesses and technical buyers; ability to converse across technical and sales audiences with concise messaging. Demonstrated expertise in crafting engaging content tailored to target audiences; strong writing and editing skills with tone and style aligned to guidelines. Passion for understanding the market and translating that into actionable Go-to-Market plans. Analytical mindset with ability to execute tactically; able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire a diverse team. Ability to articulate unique value propositions at both product and solution levels. Excellent storytelling, written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to simplify complex concepts for a non-technical audience and present effectively in person or via virtual settings. High energy and enthusiasm with potential to influence other teams. Willingness to travel to events and meetings, including international locations; travel expected ~10-15%.
