Overview
Assistant Director of Nursing - RN for Seattle Medical Post Acute Care. Registered Nurse license required. The role supports coordinating, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the nursing services department and its programs in accordance with applicable rules and guidelines. Responsibilities
Directly responsible to oversee the Unit Manager on each unit and ensure completion of assigned responsibilities and resolution of identified resident care issues and concerns. Infection Control - monitor and ensure recording of infections, analyze data, identify trends and determine potential causes. Collaborate with Facility Educator to develop education and training as indicated. Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies as necessary or directed. Assist with determining and monitoring staffing needs of the nursing department and ensure the assignment of appropriate and adequate nursing staff daily for each shift to meet resident needs. Assist in annually reviewing all nursing services policies and procedures. Assist with interviewing and selection with the Director of Nursing and Administrator’s approval of all Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. Assist with completing yearly written evaluations of nurses and nurse aides. Ensure medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident’s wishes and individualized care plan. Education, Licensure, & Experience
Required: Current certification as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment. Required: Skilled Nursing Facility experience of 1 year. Preferred: Nurse Management experience of 1 year. Ability to work well in a team setting. Benefits
