General Superintendent / Operations Manager

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a General Superintendent / Operations Manager located in Boston, MA. The General Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing project timelines, coordinating with multiple teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressively responsible civil-site experience in the Boston union market; at least 5 years supervising multiple crews/projects simultaneously.
Experience managing 100+ field staff and 20+ concurrent projects shaping the Boston Skyline
Expert knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, excavation safety, SOE systems, confined space, rigging, and traffic management.
Demonstrated mastery of union agreements, jurisdictions, and grievance procedures (e.g. Local 4, 88, 142, 609, 170, Laborers District Counsel).
Proven scheduler; adept with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar; proficiency in Procore and Build2Win preferred.
Authentic communicator who builds trust with field crews, clients, and city agencies alike.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
Active participation in NUCA, AGC, or similar professional associations.
