Job Description This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers: Lakeland, Plant City, Ocala, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, and the surrounding areas.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, achieve sales performance objectives, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and a customer needs solving capability to maximize short and long term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set objectives.

Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and concerns to close on sales calls.

Aspire to serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.

Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.

Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy.

Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience; required if no degree.

Relevant pharmaceutical/health/science industry experience preferred; minimum five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry; high school diploma/GED accepted with experience.

Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; ability to operate in a matrix environment; strategic and critical thinking skills.

Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills; able to adapt to customer style and anticipate changes.

Ability to influence others and build collaborative partnerships; leads by example and demonstrates positive behaviors and peer coaching.

Experience in leadership or support roles with increased responsibility at district/region levels; use findings to develop sales strategies.

Preferred: sales success in respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English language proficiency (verbal and written).

Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities and organizations within the assigned territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.

HCIR credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses. You are responsible for ensuring credentialing compliance. AbbVie provides resources to help answer questions.

Key Stakeholders External: Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on brand plan. Internal: In-field team members, Sales Management (DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, & Brand Plan stakeholders.

The compensation range described is the range of possible base pay at posting time, based on job grade; actual pay may vary by location and other factors.
