Overview
PROGRAM MANAGER, School of Public Health, Health Policy & Management at Boston University. The Program Manager will lead administrative, budget, and personnel management activities across a portfolio of research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects funded by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Projects focus on how health care policies and health care delivery models impact quality of care, access to care, and cost of care for low-income or disabled veterans. The Project Manager will work with multidisciplinary project teams from Boston University, Harvard University, and the VA, affiliated with the Partnered Evidence-based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC). Responsibilities
Lead administrative, budget, and personnel management for VA-funded research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects. Collaborate with health economists, health services researchers, data analysts, and policy analysts to support project goals. Coordinate with partner institutions (BU, Harvard, VA) within the PEPReC framework. Ensure compliance with IRB, HR, contracting, and budgeting processes and requirements. Maintain organization and detailed management of multiple tasks and timelines across projects. Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience; 5-7 years of related experience acceptable. Experience managing research and evaluation projects. Experience in a health- or health policy-focused department, organization, or setting. Knowledge of IRB, HR, contracting, and budgeting processes and requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of balancing multiple tasks and managing time effectively. Master's degree (MPH, MBA, MHA, or equivalent) in management, health care management or administration, health policy, or related field. Experience working with health care leadership and knowledge of grant application and grant management processes.
