Coming October 2025 (Pending Funding): Case Manager - Victim Services Washington, DC | Hybrid / On-site When someone experiences violence or abuse, the aftermath can feel overwhelming—navigating court hearings, finding safe housing, applying for benefits, or rebuilding a sense of safety. In those moments, what matters most is having someone to turn to—someone who listens, advocates, and stands by them. As a
Case Manager in Victim Services , you’ll walk alongside survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other crimes, ensuring they are not alone as they move from crisis to stability. You may help with protection orders, court appearances, or coordinating housing and counseling referrals. Each act—large or small—contributes to empowering survivors to reclaim their voice, rights, and future. What You’ll Do
Provide trauma-informed case management and advocacy tailored to survivors’ needs. Develop individualized safety and service plans that build on client strengths. Link clients quickly to housing, financial aid, legal, health, and counseling resources. Support survivors in navigating the criminal justice system—obtaining reports, filing for protection orders, and accessing victims’ compensation. Accompany clients to court or appointments, offering both advocacy and emotional support. Respond promptly: urgent issues the same day, referrals within 2 business days. Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and reports. Deliver occasional outreach and education on victim rights and available services. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Experience supporting crime survivors—especially survivors of trauma, domestic violence, or sexual assault. Strong empathy, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and care. (Preferred) Bilingual skills (Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Amharic, etc.) and familiarity with DC’s victim services laws, protections, and resources. Details
