Procurement Director
to oversee our procurement portion of the supply chain ecosystem. This executive role will be critical in optimizing material flow, vendor partnerships, and inbound logistics operations to support our mission of streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and prioritizing sustainability. The ideal candidate will leverage both traditional supply chain expertise and modern digital tools to ensure our modular manufacturing operations maintain peak efficiency. Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with production goals, growth projections, and sustainability initiatives Refinement of the generation of the Bill of Materials and its implementation for procurement Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure supply chain effectiveness, including inventory turns, on-time delivery, and cost reduction targets Lead digital transformation of supply chain operations, implementing advanced technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) integration and MRP/ERP implementation Design contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in material availability, transportation delays, and other potential supply chain risks Manage Jabil’s procurement contract Direct all procurement activities from the Bill of Materials Negotiate strategic supplier agreements that balance cost efficiency and timely delivery with quality requirements and sustainability goals Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards Implement vendor performance management systems that track quality, timeliness, and compliance with specifications Optimize inventory levels across all categories to maintain just-in-time manufacturing while minimizing carrying costs Establish material forecasting systems that align with production schedules and project pipelines Coordinate with Production Control and Project Management to ensure materials arrive precisely when needed Implement waste reduction programs that support our sustainability commitments and improve material utilization Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team with expertise across procurement, logistics, and inventory management Foster collaborative relationships between supply chain personnel and other departments, particularly Warehouse, A&E, Manufacturing and Project Management Drive continuous improvement culture through training and implementation of lean supply chain principles Develop succession plans and career pathways for supply chain team members Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master\'s preferred) 8+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing environments Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management Strong understanding of inventory control systems, ERP platforms, and logistics optimization Experience implementing lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies Exceptional analytical abilities with data-driven decision-making approach Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams Preferred Qualifications
Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, or related building product manufacturing Knowledge of construction materials, particularly structural components and building systems Familiarity with BIM, digital twin technologies, or other construction technology platforms Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma Experience with sustainable procurement and circular economy principles Work Environment
Primary Location: Onsite at Vallejo manufacturing facility with periodic travel to supplier locations Travel: 25% for supplier visits, industry conferences, and professional development Physical Requirements: Office environment with regular walks through manufacturing facility Why Join Harbinger Production, Inc.
