Overview

HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant for our national Trenchless Services team. This role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and supports the execution of design and field services related to trenchless projects: engineering, design, and construction applications. Responsibilities

Provide Construction Oversight for trenchless installations. Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts. Review deliverables for trenchless construction activities. Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts. Perform Route Assessments for trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing. Coordinate staffing and review of Construction Management scopes; oversee trenchless construction activities. Interface with clients to support Business Development for trenchless services. Coordinate subcontractor activity, scheduling, and quality control. Prepare the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan. Develop procedures for construction contract administration, including document, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management; implement with the project team. Perform additional construction management activities: procurement planning, schedules, subcontracts, value engineering, cost/schedule reviews, and project performance presentations. Administer and manage construction activities; monitor design progress relative to construction requirements. Perform value engineering and constructability reviews. Coordinate local bidding efforts for quotes; assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages. Coordinate document management; review submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications. Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; review construction schedules and budgets. Coordinate quality assurance and control, and inspection services; ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety programs. Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly). Coordinate project setup and temporary facilities. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field, or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, safety, bidding, scheduling, and cost control. Experience with Microsoft Office; construction management software (e.g., Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and other stakeholders. Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are preferred. The salary range for this role is targeted at $135,000 – $165,000 depending on experience and location. Location
