Key Responsibilities Product Development & Strategy

Develop and launch new molecular biology products and services.

Design and implement development strategies to expand OriGene’s molecular biology and proteomic product portfolios, aligned with business goals.

Define product requirements, applications, and value propositions through market research, customer feedback, and competitor analysis.

Develop product roadmaps and identify opportunities in research, therapeutic development, and diagnostics markets.

Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies, training materials, and successful product launches.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), customers, and strategic partners.

Research & Experimental Execution

Independently design and execute experiments to support product innovation and improvement.

Perform advanced molecular biology techniques: cloning, PCR/qPCR, CRISPR genome editing, DNA/RNA preparation, viral particle production, and vector design.

Apply proteomics knowledge to product development, assay design, and characterization.

Manufacture and QC products in compliance with SOPs, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot issues, and present findings to cross-functional teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with R&D, production, quality, and business teams to ensure product performance meets market and customer expectations.

Support internal training and provide technical expertise to colleagues and customers.

Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, processes, and innovation culture.

Qualifications Education & Experience

PhD in Molecular Biology, Proteomics, Immunology, Oncology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Gene and Cell Therapy or related field with 2 years of experience OR Master’s with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology (e.g., cloning, PCR, CRISPR, viral production) and/or proteomics (e.g., assay development, biomarker analysis).

Prior experience in product development, strategy, and commercialization in the life science or biotech industry is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with DNA cloning, gene editing, bioinformatics tools (e.g., SnapGene, CRISPR gRNA design), and protein/peptide analysis tools.

Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software.
