Overview
The Vice President, Infrastructure, Network and Data Centre is responsible for providing infrastructure hosting and network services to all segments globally. The role defines the strategy and is accountable for ensuring service stability and availability, and that regulatory, compliance and audit issues are addressed. Generally responsible for the design, implementation and operations of TD's Global Network. Depth & Scope
Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required Provider of enterprise infrastructure hosting, network services to all segments globally. Responsible for defining infrastructure hosting and network services strategy evolving TS capabilities, organization, cost model in line with segment and enterprise needs Ensure TD product roadmaps are in place for core infrastructure components Accountable for service stability and availability Develop and implement a talent strategy to retain/recruit appropriate skillset Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging network technologies Lead the team that maintains and manages the global network Familiarity with scripting language (python, go), common configuration management tools and API based automation is a plus Lead the team responsible for configuration, installation and maintenance, in-depth troubleshooting tasks and documentation of any new network issues Maximizes network efficiency by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages, managing upgrade schedules and collaborating with vendors Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation Thorough understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLANs QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts Provides network as a service to all other technologies (including employee enablement, distribution centers, branches, mainframe, Cloud, etc.) Oversees largest financial infrastructure portfolio - well over $100 million Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Post graduate degree or advanced courses in business management or technology related field or equivalent business experience strongly preferred 10+ years of related experience Experience leading Network services Infrastructure leadership experience in one or more functions Experience in building a new teams and new functions, and applying an organization change management discipline Experience reporting to and communicating with executive stakeholders (e.g. VP, SVP, EVP level executives) Proven ability to collaborate across a large organization to effectively realize outcomes Experience leading transformational change Experience managing regulatory / compliance requirements History of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term Proven ability to leverage deep subject matter expertise to develop and deploy a vision and align others to that vision Known for providing creative thought leadership while also listening and engaging others to provide input in the shaping of that vision Passionate to succeed and acts as an internal advocate; remains resilient under pressure Customer Accountabilities
