Responsibilities / Depth & Scope

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required Accountable for assigned LOB Technology including IT strategy and associated roadmap, project delivery, operational stability, and scalability Ensures short and long term success in the U.S. Bank supporting organic and acquisition based growth in TD Bank, Americas Most Convenient Bank through strategic partnership with all business lines and other Technology Directors Responsible for design and delivery of optimal business technology solutions and the support and maintenance of computing and systems infrastructure for all business areas leveraging Enterprise Platforms Oversees and manages Enterprise Technology Orchestration in support of portfolio and technology asset utilization and optimization Acts as primary relationship manager with assigned business lines; ensures satisfaction with all Technology Solution services Ensures high availability of applications, supports responsiveness, excellent transparency, and a strong quality assurance discipline to ensure a high level of technology services within the corporate and enterprise IT portfolio Defines vision, strategy, and priorities for assigned LOB Technology in alignment with AMCB LOB business strategy; Federated IT areas; USTS shared; and Enterprise Technology objectives (e.g., DASH) Provides thought leadership and innovation with regards to technology and associated impact on AMCB's Retail Bank, leveraging enterprise teams, USTS Architecture and industry trends Develops and nurtures IT talent for AMCB and the Enterprise; including actionable succession plans and a strong bench Consistently delivers on productivity and service targets Proactively manages risk and compliance for Retail Technology

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred 15+ years' IT related experience required in the following areas: infrastructure, application management, and IT planning experience Highly motivated individual with a track record of successfully implementing technical solutions across large organizations Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry preferred; experience with Mergers and Acquisitions a plus Demonstrated credibility to influence business partners, peers, and executive management Ability to drive accountability, set clear goals for the broader team, measure and report results Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent work activities Strong analysis and problem solving skills Ability to work collaboratively and in a matrixed environment Demonstrated ability to successfully identify and partner with key stakeholders to drive decision making in an efficient and timely manner
