Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Gastroenterologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a Level 1 Trauma Center and maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient GI care and will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, ensure follow-up care, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. Develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up care. Monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed. Perform endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies. Administer medications and treatments to patients. Educate patients and family members about the diagnosis and treatment process. Keep accurate and detailed patient medical records. Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Provide weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Hospital. Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology and hepatology service. Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Qualifications
Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one) Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Wages and Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $349,000 (Board Eligible); $359,000 (Board Certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. Annual Total Value Of The Compensation Package is estimated at $439,420 (Board Eligible) or $450,420 (Board Certified), including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors. Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520. 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediate; after one year, an additional 7% contribution (no employee match required). Annual CME reimbursement; generous PTO (vacation, sick, holidays, and CME days). Medical, prescription, and dental coverage with employer-supported plans; life and AD&D coverage equal to 2x salary (up to $300,000) at no cost; optional additional life coverage available. Loan forgiveness programs may apply; medical malpractice coverage provided. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent care; pre-tax commuting contributions.
