Overview
Job details and summary for a Technical Architect role within Salesforce Services Operations Systems & Tools Team supporting Public Sector. The candidate will design and lead delivery of complex, scalable Salesforce solutions that enhance internal operations and align with Salesforce’s values.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand strategic objectives, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Lead technical design sessions, architect and document robust Salesforce solutions, and identify gaps between current capabilities and desired end states.
Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications, ensuring high-quality technical delivery across custom development, system integrations, and data migrations.
Integrate Salesforce with third-party platforms and external data sources, leveraging APIs and middleware as needed.
Establish and uphold coding standards; conduct and lead code reviews to ensure best practices and maintainable design patterns.
Monitor and maintain the performance of Salesforce applications, troubleshoot issues, and conduct thorough testing and debugging.
Design and implement process automation using Salesforce tools (Flow, Process Builder, Workflow Rules) to drive operational efficiency.
Support the deployment of Salesforce releases, enhancements, and environment updates with minimal business disruption.
Lead and manage DevOps processes, including environment management, CI/CD pipeline setup, automated testing, and automated deployments for high-quality deployments across environments.
Mentor and guide Salesforce developers, provide technical leadership and code reviews to ensure quality and industry best practices.
Stay up-to-date with Salesforce platform updates and emerging best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with global teams, providing clear updates on progress, accomplishments, and potential roadblocks.
Collaborate with SMEs, Business Architects, and Product Owners to define requirements, validate solution designs, and develop enablement and testing materials.
Act as a liaison with Salesforce product teams to support solution delivery, issue resolution, and platform enhancements.
Required Experience / Expertise / Skills
Over 10 years of experience in CRM solutions, with at least 6 years specializing in the Salesforce platform.
Proven expertise in designing and developing large-scale, web-based systems with full SDLC experience.
Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture with the ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions.
Proficiency in design patterns, handling large data volumes, and applying platform best practices.
Strong knowledge of data sharing, visibility models, and their architectural implications within Salesforce.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning components, Apex, and Visualforce development.
Familiar with Salesforce Einstein Analytics and AI-driven features to enhance platform intelligence and automation.
Skill in Salesforce integration using APIs (REST, SOAP) and third-party tools.
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II or Salesforce Administrator certifications are desirable.
Proficient in Git and CI/CD pipelines tailored for Salesforce.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and the broader Salesforce product suite.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and development frameworks.
Experience in environment and release management, source control strategies, and deployment best practices.
Adept at working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
Desired Experience / Expertise / Skills
Salesforce Administrator and Advanced Administrator certifications with hands-on product experience.
Familiarity with CRM systems, data management practices, and Certinia’s PSA (PS Cloud) and financial tools.
Experience in customer-facing consulting and delivering tailored Salesforce solutions.
Background in Sales Operations and/or Professional Services with understanding of operational workflows.
Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), CPQ systems, and systems integration.
Experience developing documentation including use cases, user stories, and requirements.
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prototype solutions, conduct testing, and support adoption.
